I have been an artist all my life. Most of my most vivid memories from early childhood include art-making, from my yellow happy face mug in which I rinsed my brushes, sitting with my grandpa in his basement painting studio drawing horses, his hand over mine, building little architectural models with my dad in his studio.

I think of the camera as a Box of Fog, because the medium and tool is full of mystery. The alchemy of capturing and recording light in a box is magic. I have had a professional photography business for over 25 years; documenting people’s lives, events, milestones, alongside my forever love of capturing art I come across on the daily… odd, eerie, strangely beautiful things. In the past few years, through making art with my children, I rediscovered my love for India ink and watercolor. The process of making small works is meditative for me, and I find the same “box of fog” magic in these little worlds on paper.

I aim to sew threads between nature, imagination, and dreams. My goal as an artist is to make work that is atmospheric, evocative, and timeless… Work that conjures dreams and whispers about shadows.

I am intrigued by human nature, the beautiful and mysterious natural world, and the space between the dream state and fully awake.

I hope you find a bit of a dream in my Box of Fog
